The Top Stick Tour has decided to change the payback for 2012 tournament season. Instead of the 1 in 5 payback we had in previous years, for the anglers, we are going to make it a 1 in 4 payback. This means for every 4 teams that enter the tournament 1 will be getting a check. For example if 40 teams are entered in the tournament we will pay back, the top 10 finishing teams for the tournament and so on. With a 1 in 5 payback that would have only paid the top 8 spots.
We tried this, the first tournament of 2011 and all of the teams that fished were very happy, and I think a bit surprised at the new payout. Nothing has changed except we are trying to pay a little deeper into the field. President of The Top Stick Tour John Barron said it best, “Everyone likes to cash a check and now more teams will have the chance to do so for the rest of the season.”
The Tournament Entry Fees will stay the same and optional sidepots as follows:
Entry, Event and Insurance: $115.00 ”Mandatory”
Big Fish: $10.00: 1st and 2nd place “Option”
Top Three: $10.00: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place “Option”
All American: $10.00: 1st place per flight. Three flights/three winners “Option”
Family Option: $10.00: Father/Son/Daughter, Husband/Wife, Boyfriend/Girlfriend “Option”
All in: $145.00 does not include the family option. All in: $155.00 if you qualify for the family option. Please note that any male/male angler teams who wish to enter the boyfriend/boyfriend option will have to make out and spoon in front of the tournament director for a duration of time before and after each event.
